DIVING
THE AQUARIUM OF ALLAH
The Red Sea is so called for the beauty of its marine beds and it is surely one of the finest seas in the world. Its crystalline waters are home to thousands of different forms of life. Multicoloured barrier-dwelling fish, rays, manta and dolphins, corals, madrepores and alcyonaria all inhabit this amazing sea.
DIVING CENTER
The Gorgonia Beach Resort Diving Centre is run by TGI Diving and is a PADI 5-Star Gold Palm Resort.
The Diving Centre is located directly in front of the beach. From there the finest dives in the area are within easy reach, both to the north and the south. The Diving Centre programme offers a wide selection of organised excursions, with trips from the beach to the bays nearby and full-day outings by boat or rubber dinghy. Enjoy unmissable encounters with the fantastic fauna of the coral world, from turtles and moray eel to large pelagic fish wandering quietly among the pristine coral gardens and the reefs that plunge into the blue depths.
Guest facilities include a huge range of top-end Mares diving and snorkelling equipment, a reception area, an amply-stocked boutique, baths for rinsing equipment, a comfortable swimming pool and a classroom with the latest audio-visual systems.

The Diving Centre offers the chance to take the full range of PADI international scuba certificates, from basic level through Open Water Diver to Assistant Instructor, with the free Discover Scuba course for novices and a wide choice of specialist certificates for experts.
For non-scuba divers, the Diving Centre runs snorkelling trips lasting half a day or a full day. A great many of the local bays are easily reachable by minibus in just a few minutes from the village, like the famous Sharm el Loli beach, or you can go on to Marsa Abu Dabbab to swim with the turtles and – with a little luck – enjoy an unforgettable encounter with a Dugong.
Boat rides are available to the Gardens of Allah, or for a visit to Dolphin House or Sataya to swim with the dolphins, or to see the pristine coral atolls nearby with their pure white sand in Hamata natural park.
The resort lies inside the Wadi el Gimal park, one of the most exclusive reefs in the Red Sea, where the coral barrier creates a spectacular turquoise lagoon, a natural oasis with many species of birds living amid the mangroves and white sandy beaches that are home to a whole host of turtles and coral barrier-dwelling fish.
