HOUSE REEF – NORTH

The entrance is by the buoys. Dives begin near the reef wall with its abundant fire coral and then head eastward over the plateau.

The classic itinerary takes a route over the pinnacles at a depth of 15 metres, in an area full of anemones, then turning towards the column with the whip coral.

After moving over two stony coral mounds formed of Porites sp. colonies, you return over the wall, admiring the staghorn corals towards the top and coming out at the buoys.

You can meet crocodilefish, anemones with clownfish, sea eagles and rock shark.

The tide tables must be consulted at the Diving centre before planning any dive.

TIDES

The Moon exerts a constant influence on the natural phenomena of our planet, the most noticeable of which being the tides, which change about every six hours.

In order to swim around the reef trouble-free, without damaging it, you need to know the times of high tide.

The Resort Diving centre displays the tide tables, which are useful when planning to go into the water from the beach for both snorkelling and diving.
